In July 2017, as part of the Nancyphonies festival, he created the recital “Conte d’Hoffmann” with pianist Hugues Leclère and actor Alain Carré. This musical and literary fantasy, imagined and sung by Daniel Ottevaere, pays tribute to the work of writer and composer E. T. A. Hoffmann. The concert-show brings together musical pieces by Hoffmann himself (Ondine, Miserere), works by other composers (Busoni, Wagner, Berlioz, etc.) inspired by Hoffmann, and texts by the great fantasy writer (extracts from tales read by A. Carré). During the 2017/2018 season, he returned to the costumes of D o n A l f o n s o a n d C o l a s (Bastien et Bastienne). He was also Don Tritemio in Il filosofo di campagna by B.
